The Green Hat

In the Time of Trump, “The Green Hat” is Launched for the Defense and Restoration of the Earth

“Make the Environment Great Again”

Seattle, Planet Earth. January 25. Seattle based environmental justice organization, Basel Action Network (BAN), has launched a poignant reminder that making “America Great Again” is not possible without a clean and green environment. This reminder comes in the form of “The Green Hat”– a new helmet of resistance in defense of the environment under the marching orders: “Make the Environment Great Again”.

Already in President Trump’s first week in office, his stated effort to “make America great” includes a protracted war on our environment. Yet of all of the problems America might face as a nation, climate change and other forms of environmental destruction top them all, according to a growing consensus of scientists.

Our new President fails to recognize that it is actually the environment that never “wins” anymore. It’s been on a century-long losing streak and its losses lead us ever closer to the demise of every nation, every political party, every hotel chain, every ethnicity, religion, all of us, forever,” said Jim Puckett, Executive Director of BAN.

With the launch of “The Green Hat”, we can prominently declare the last, most important campaign slogan of all time.

“The Green Hat,” is available at www.ban.org/the-green-hat. All proceeds from donations for the hat go to BAN and other small environmental organizations and grassroots environmental movements. BAN will provide the hat to the registered charitable environmental organization at cost.  Order yours today and pass them to your friends and colleagues!
